And while the days can feel long, this stage of life passes in the blink of an eye. That’s where I come in...
 

Hey, I’m Kat - a newborn and family photographer based in West Lothian, Scotland.

I’m also a mum of two girls, so I completely understand just how important it is to hold onto these moments. The love, the chaos, the little details you never want to forget - they deserve to be captured in a way that feels natural, relaxed, and true to your family.

Why I do what I do

Photography started as a hobby for me, but it quickly became something so much more. After having my own children, I realised just how powerful photographs really are.

They’re not just pictures - they’re memories you can hold onto forever.

And being trusted to capture those memories for other families? That means everything to me.

What it’s like to work with me

Every session with me is designed to feel relaxed, natural, and completely tailored to you - whether you’re expecting, have a newborn, or bringing along older children.

I know that being in front of the camera can feel a little daunting (for both kids and adults!), so I keep things simple and easy:

• A calm, unhurried approach with no pressure

• Plenty of time for breaks, feeds, or little resets when needed

• Gentle guidance so you never feel awkward or unsure

• Space for genuine moments - not forced poses

Whether it’s a sleepy newborn, a curious toddler, or a growing family, I work around you to capture real, natural moments you’ll love.

• Mum of two girls and dog mum to my much-loved Springer Spaniel

• A little bit dog obsessed (okay… a lot!)

• Happiest outdoors, especially on long walks

• Powered by coffee most days

• I love building real connections with the families I work with
